London Park -HaMa'apilim

At the corner of Hayarkon and Borgoshov streets sits London park, dedicated to the illegal immigrants that never made it to Eretz Yisrael (the land of Israel). Most immigration was attempted by ship, known as the Ma'apilim. Often these ships carried refugees from Hitlers war against the Jews, who were turned away. Some returned to Europe where their passengers were then murdered in the holocaust. The park is a standing memorial to these lost refugees. It's designed in the shape of a ship, listing the names of those perished, the ships that never made it, and photos.
